Brian Villmoare

Brian Villmoare, an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is a paleoanthropologist who has been working in Afar region of northern Ethiopia since 2002. In 2013 he was part of the team that discovered the oldest fossil specimen of our genus, Homo. As an undergraduate he studied Philosophy and English Literature, and has long been interested in the ways science, society, and philosophy intersect.
