My name is Julia and I’m a Canadian crochet designer with a love of all things cute and geeky. I first started crocheting in 2011, and quickly became excited by the potential to create dolls of my favourite characters and animals – my childhood dream of designing stuffed toys, fulfilled at last! I also love to travel and I always bring my dolls with me for photo shoots. In 2017 I started my online crochet business, Wayward Pineapple Creations, to share my designs with the world (www.waywardpineapplecreations.com). I design cute and simple amigurumi patterns that are perfect for beginner to intermediate crocheters. In November 2022 my first pattern book, Amigurumi for Beginners, was published by Callisto Media/Rockridge Press.
