Born to a poverty on the streets of Al'thea, Ren spent her early years beholden to street gangs. Breaking free of the cycle, she sought dragons, becoming a rider at age ten and negotiating a truce between dragon clans at sixteen. Though the move was celebrated by most, there were those who disagreed with the end to a bloody war and Ren was sent between worlds in an attempt to keep her safe.
Falling in love with one of the many assassins sent to end her life, Ren and her husband now spend their lives in relative peace - but for the occasional assassination attempt - and create stories people think too fanciful to exist. The problem comes with what to tell their children, but that can wait until they're older.
