Stephen Slevin

Stephen has worked in both HR and Payroll for over thirty years and has witnessed the evolution and growth of legacy people administrative systems’ in the twentieth century, which gave birth to the new cloud-based HCM and business workflow solutions.

Stephen’s entrepreneurial career began in 1998 when, aged twenty-nine, he founded his first textile business in collaboration with his mother, opened his first online retail store and sold to customers worldwide. Today this business operates in the UK, Europe, Australia and Japan and has more than 4,000 customers worldwide.

Stephen continues his entrepreneurial success via ‘Angel Investing’ in more than thirty start-ups and enjoys the passion and thrill of meeting new founders keen to develop products and services which better the world we live in today.

In 2010, Stephen was introduced to Workday while living and working in Australia. He was fortunate to work on multiple Workday projects and certified through a Workday SI partner. This enabled him to grow his experience and knowledge, with direct support from Workday, over the following twelve years.

In June 2020, Stephen and Dan formed Lightwork Global because they both noticed a gap in the market for new ways to

deliver Workday.

Stephen is active in fundraising for his chosen charity: Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
