Damien Cupido

I am a Namibian & South African first time author, illustrator, scriptwriter and film director. My love for story began at a young age before I could read myself, being put to bed by a great story. Stories are primal and predate history. They entertain, inspire, educate and save lives-mine included. I am a person with a strong sense of social responsibility. I believe that I have a general and specific responsibility in advancing the life chances of previously disadvantaged persons and to provide representation that will both uplift and entertain people wherever they may find themselves. In keeping with the aforesaid, it is important to myself that this responsibility hoisted upon me by the weight of my continent's collective history finds expression in the work I do.
