Roman Kvasov, Ph.D. is a professor of Mathematics at the University of Puerto Rico at Aguadilla, USA. He holds a Ph.D. in Scientific Computing, M.S. in Applied Mathematics and M.S. in Computer Science. Dr. Kvasov is an expert in Scientific Computing and the Finite Element Method and is an active researcher in the area of Cosserat Plates and Mathematical Modeling. His research has been published in such prestigious journals as Applied Mathematics, Thin-Walled Structures, Modelling and Simulation in Engineering and Applied Mathematics and Physics. Dr. Kvasov is also a Math Olympian and Math Olympiad coach. For over 20 years, he has trained students for such prestigious Math Olympiads as the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO), the Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad (IbMO), the United States of America Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO), and the Central America and Caribbean Mathematical Olympiad (OMCC).
