Mr David Wilson

David Wilson is the author of "the Ultimate Guide to Commercial Vehicle Fleet Management". His considerable lifetime experience in the fields of manufacturing, logistics and transport shine through in this easy-to-read volume, specifically designed for anyone involved in the management of a commercial vehicle fleet. Much of the content of this book comes from the last 30 years of providing consultancy advice to a wide range of transport operators, including the fire and police services, on the most efficient and cost-effective ways to run their fleets. Many of the top tips contained in this book came from a large variety of challenging projects over the years. David is an active member and fellow of a number of industry institutes and sits on advisory committees for transport trade bodies. Working in logistics, he has travelled the UK all his lifetime, but is based in Kent in the UK. He still retains an HGV licence for those times when only "hands-on" experience will do. When not dealing with fleet issues, you may find him on the golf course and when time allows, perhaps watching motor sport; his favourite, of course, being an annual pilgrimage to the Le Mans 24-hour race in France.
