A self-described, life long "plant person", Tiffany studied Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Architecture in college and later teaching, which she did for a decade. She started a small suburban farm in the heavily impacted Southern California market in 2018. In order to stand out as in the market, she spent several years digging into professional papers, graduate studies, books, online forums and spoke with prominent farmer-breeders in order to gather the information she needed to successfully breed her own zinnias, simultaneously experimenting with that knowledge on her farm.
During that time she shared the information she was learning on Instagram, @blommaflowerfarm. Her online presence and simple, easily understood videos have inspired people all over the world to begin breeding zinnias for their own purposes. To meet the demand for information she wrote "The Zinnia Breeder's Handbook" as a comprehensive guide to zinnia breeding based on all that research.
Recently, her farm moved to Garnerville, Nevada where she lives with her husband Mike and rescue dog Gigi.
