Keith Gentili is a lifelong writer and hiker. In addition to climbing New Hampshire's 48 tallest mountains, he has summited New England's 100 highest peaks. Gentili has also completed four of New Hampshire's signature hikes including the Wapack Trail, Pemi Loop, Presidential Traverse, and Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway. He is halfway through his Winter NH 48, climbed Maine's Katahdin four times, and slowly working on redlining Acadia National Park. A former sportswriter, Gentili launched The New Boston Beacon, a monthly newspaper, in 2018. The New Hampshire Press Association has named him a Columnist of the Year three times. In 2021, the New England Press Association honored The Beacon as a Distinguished Newspaper and Gentili as a Serious Columnist of the Year. His publishing background also includes years with the Nantucket Beacon, Tuff Stuff magazine, and Antiques Roadshow Insider. In his free time, Gentili still enjoys playing with baseball cards and in 2022, he began working for The Topps Company. A graduate of Fitchburg State College, he lives in New Boston, NH, with his wife Carrie and their daughters Julia and Sarah.
