Johnny Osaki

While living in the Bay Area, Johnny Osaki has been working this past few years with his family business Inspirational Family Books and J&J Sports Cards on eBay. He also just completed this “New Release” 2022 book (black cover), NBA’s 50 Greatest Basketball Players of All-Time 75th Anniversary Edition that he had been working on this past decade. The project was an enormous one, trying to “match and succeed” the likes (from a statistical and factual point of view) of Bill Simmons’ Book of Basketball and Christian Meyers The All-Time Greatest NBA Book … and he might have done just that behind the belief that his passion for NBA basketball is to their equal after following the sport exclusively! He has always had an “undying passion” to study “countless hours” on the history of the game and watch NBA basketball outside of work for most of his entire life to where you could almost call it an obsession - memorizing and retaining whatever visual images and knowledge over much of the thousands of games watched, everything he has read covering every conceivable basketball reference (including numerous quotes on what great players of the past and present thought about other great players), and the statistics that he has tracked by way of the internet, newspapers, magazines, books, and abstracts.
