Zorawar Daulet Singh is an author, historian and strategist based in New Delhi, India. He is a co-founder of the Northcap University, a State Private University, located in Gurugram, Haryana and is also associated with the Institute of Chinese Studies, a leading think tank in New Delhi. He was previously a fellow at the Centre for Policy Research. Daulet Singh holds a PhD in international relations from King’s College London. For the past 15 years, he has been a prominent commentator and columnist on India’s foreign policy, diplomatic history and various dimensions of India–China relations. He has been invited to address leading training institutions in India including the National Defence College, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Defence Services Staff College Wellington, and the Foreign Service Institute. Daulet Singh’s critically acclaimed 2019 work on India’s strategic history, Power and Diplomacy: India’s Foreign Policies during the Cold War was released in 2022 as a paperback edition. His classic work on India-China relations, Powershift: India-China relations in a Multipolar World, received the Kalinga Literary Festival Book of the Year Award 2020-21 in the category of Diplomacy/Strategic Affairs. His previous books include India–China Relations: The Border Issue and Beyond and Chasing the Dragon: Will India Catch up with China?
