关于作者

When I was four years old my mother taught me to sew. I remember making a doll dress that I stitched to my own skirt and it had to be ripped out. By age ten I was proficient enought at sewing that I was making my own clothes. I started quilting when I made a quilt for my first baby. I fell in love with quilting and just kept sewing pieces of fabric together. When my mother saw my quilts she said, "I don't know why you are making quilts when you can afford to order a blanket from the Sears catalog. I just smiled and kept on quilting. I was editor-in-chief for QUILT magazine and several related titles, working for 25 years with over a thousand magazine issues in print. I retired from the editor position and was soon writing more than a dozen books on quilting. I began designing rulers and trim tools for Creative Grids®. I have designed more than a dozen trim tools for strip-pieced blocks including Log Cabin, Hexagon and Pineapple blocks. I have also designed and written over 75 patterns for Cut Loose Press™.
