Personal trainer Mark Shaw is the author of Senior Fitness for Pain Relief, Wall Pilates for Seniors and Beginners, Sleep Well Despite Chronic Pain and the co-author of Chair Yoga for Seniors and Beginners. His work focuses on senior fitness and is designed specifically to help those in later life gain the most benefits from exercise. Mark is a certified personal trainer, whose love for sports and physical activity began at a young age. His father was a coach, and sports and fitness were a big part of his life growing up. Mark’s path was always clear to him, and he trained to become a personal trainer as soon as he left school. Years later, when his father suffered a minor injury, Mark designed a fitness schedule explicitly tailored to his condition. The results were astounding, and Mark gained a passion for creating individual fitness plans for older adults. Although he works with clients of all ages, he is particularly interested in senior fitness and has devoted himself to helping older clients to live happy and fulfilling lives by guiding them through their fitness programs. Mark is as committed to his own health and fitness as he is to that of his clients. He trains every day and loves outdoor solo sports like running and cycling.
