John Zipperer

For more than a quarter century, John Zipperer has been a reporter, writer and editor. He was an assistant editor at the Hudson Institute in Indianapolis, editorial resident at Christianity Today magazine, associate editor of the magazine of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (now the CCIM Institute) and new media editor for the organization, held numerous editorial positions (including executive editor) at Internet World magazine in 2000–2003, and senior editor for Affordable Housing Finance and Apartment Finance Today magazines. Since 2006, he has been with The Commonwealth Club of California, where he is the vice president of media and editorial, overseeing the print, online, audio, and video operations of the public forum and producing two program series: the Week to Week Political Roundtable and (with Michelle Meow) the Michelle Meow Show, featuring LGBT thought leaders. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Zipperer is the author of Science Fiction by the Hour and The Starlog Compendium, as well as forthcoming book on America's housing policies.
