JD Blue has been a dog lover since a very young age. She dreamed of writing books about dogs & horses since she read the book "Black Beauty" as a child. JD attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English in 1994. She hoped to start writing after college, but ended up having a career in marketing for 25+ years. Her career as a marketing professional took her all over the world, including the opportunity to visit amazing places such as Vietnam, Italy, Greece and Amsterdam. JD Blue is from Michigan and currently lives in Holland, MI. She loves to spend time with her Australian Shepherds, who give her great joy, and her family. If JD is not working with one of her dogs you can find her with her dogs and her family on the shores of Lake Michigan.
