Shelly Butterfield is an illustrator, color designer, newly published author and now a mother. She lives in the San Francisco bay area but is originally from Southern California. Before publishing her books, Shelly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University, Northridge where she studied 2D Design with emphasis in illustration. Her education, talent, and perseverance landed her a job in Boston, MA where she spent 4 years. Her life in Boston allowed her to experience east coast city life, the four seasons, and of course Boston’s rich history. She also met her husband there, he too a CA transplant. While in Boston the Covid pandemic hit, which pushed her to start working on a children’s ABC book. Shortly after she completed and published it, she turned her ABC book into a coloring book. She plans to write and illustrate additional books soon!
