Eliza Whool was born in 1974 in Lancaster, Ohio. Ever since she was a kid, she felt a pull towards nature, to the point that she built her first treehouse at only 11 years old, where she liked to camp even for 2 or 3 days in a row during summer vacation. Eliza believe that the modern person has become overly dependent on technology and that only a small percentage of the population would be able withstand a global crisis. Over time, she merged her love of cooking with her eagerness to learn how to survive and started experimenting with recipes that were both simple and delicious, using only a small amount of ingredients (such as rice and beans) and making the most out of each one. Eliza currently works as a sales manager in a company that produces and installs wooden houses, but she keeps writing her books and testing new recipes in her free time. The author's quest is to help as many people as possible eat healthily and enjoy delicious food even in challenging situations, such as when food is scarce, and you have few ingredients available.
