D. W. White

D. W. White was born in 1929 in Chester, Idaho, the son of a Mormon farming family. There he spent his early childhood. He attended schools in California and at the end of WW2, served in the Merchant Marine and later with the U.S. Army of Occupation in Germany. After college he worked in San Francisco as an advertising art director. In retirement, Wayne paints watercolors in addition to his poetry. He resides in Walnut Creek, California, with his wife, Rosie. They have four children and five grandchildren.
