Chris Barnsdale

关于作者

Chris Barnsdale is a sports medicine doctor and author based in Alberta, Canada. Originally from England and raised on a busy dairy farm, Chris has a penchant for working hard and fixing machines. His slightly deficient brain makes him a very slow reader and causes difficulty when it comes to linear thoughts and writing words on a page. Despite this challenge, he did well at school and started his medical education with research at Cambridge University. He flirted with surgical training, then became a GP (general practitioner), worked the ER, and finally settled in sports medicine. By focusing on understanding medical concepts rather than simply memorizing things, he has developed a unique perspective on how our bodies work and answered a lot of the questions that puzzled him and his colleagues. In "Every Body Hurts", his first book which was decades in the making, Chris sought to answer simple but tricky questions about injury, pain, healing, and body principles, and present them in a way that is easy to understand for everybody with a body.
