Inspired by my grandmother to write at a very young age, I submitted my first piece of writing in the late 90's. That piece was then published into The Colors of Thoughts: The National Library of Poetry . By age 15, I grew an even deeper passion of writing as I vividly created poetry ideas into the majority of my school projects. As a creative observational drawer and amateur writer, and almost two decades later, I created my first children's book. My hopes are to inspire others in their walk of life through my writings. Along with writing, I have a deep love for helping others. While working twenty years in Healthcare with a passion for the geriatric communities, I took an interest in alternative medicine, which soon led me into becoming an Aromatherapist. I worked holistically with hospice patients for a short time while lessoning their burdens. Shortly after, while integrating alternative medicine and a desire to counsel others, I enrolled back into school to study Psychology. As of now, I hold an Associates of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors of Science degree in Behavioral Science and Fine Arts from Liberty University. Author is a wife, bonus mom, grandmom, Aromatherapist, fur momma, advocate and founder of AASPtheymatter.
