In 2018, I spent two months in Afghanistan, where I was able to photograph their traditional cannabis culture. With intriguing pictures and the desire to write something meaningful about them.

The first edition, published in 2019, received positive reviews from Robert Clarke, Ed Rosenthal, or Mila Jansen as well as readers which pushed me to release a more commercially viable book. The Taliban takeover, in 2021 created a lot of difficulties for all the people I met there. Because of that I was determined to give back by publishing a proper version of the book and send part of the profit to Afghanistan. Since being an author has never been a goal or dream of mine, I had to learn all about book publishing, book printing, and book marketing. I’ve put in a lot of time and effort in this second edition, to create a valuable photo-book, one of the few rare cannabis art books.
