Allison Finley

Allison Finley is an author and freelance editor of children's fiction and speculative fiction. Her debut middle grade mystery, Below the Surface, was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. She grew up in northern California, went to university in Canada, then ran away to London for awhile, before settling back down in the Pacific Northwest. Her stories tend to share the themes of searching for belonging, exploration and adventure, and lost mysteries.

A life-long nerd, she plays tabletop RPGs, is an aviation aficionado, and collects enamel pins both new and vintage. She often roams the forest trails of the greater Vancouver area with her labradoodle and partner.
