Laurie Engle was born in Kansas, the heartland of the United States. Her parents both grew up on working farms and Midwestern values have always influenced her life and writing.
Her household consisted of four girls and four boys and growing up she loved to escape into other worlds through books. Reading was a joy to her from a very young age. She found a passion for writing in high school and studied journalism in college.
She has enjoyed a career in real estate and now follows her passion as a published author.
She spends her time in Austin Texas and Scottsdale Arizona and travels the world fulfilling her dream of telling stories.
