关于作者

Crime Researcher, Writer, Podcaster, & Victim Advocate Nic Edwards is half of the popular True Crime Garage Podcast which averages close to a million weekly listeners from around the globe. In 2019 Nic was one of the founding board members for an Ohio nonprofit organization called The Porchlight Project, formed to lend special help to cases of abduction and murder that have gone cold. The Porchlight team provides free private investigative services, funding for DNA testing, and media support for several Ohio cold cases every year. In 2020, because of Porchlight’s efforts and working with the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, an arrest was finally made in a cold case homicide from 1987. That same year Porchlight was successful in giving a name to unidentified remains found in New London, Ohio back in 2016. The bones were determined to belong to a schoolteacher who died in 1881. This is one of the oldest Genetic Genealogy cases in the state’s history. Porchlight continues to work on several Ohio cold cases and sees success in getting answers for families and communities. Nic’s work with Porchlight and True Crime Garage has assisted several Law Enforcement agencies, private investigations, and most importantly families who have lost a loved one. Nic is a board member of another nonprofit organization called All the Lost Girls. All the Lost Girls is dedicated to finding justice for female strangulation cold cases in the United States. This is a nonprofit organization whose work is dedicated to the memory of Melissa Witt. Nic is a proud contributor and sponsor to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children since 2014.
