Owen Scott Muir, MD, is an Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families-trained psychiatrist and official Mentalizing Treatment Supervisor. He is the coauthor of Adolescent Suicide and Self Injury: Mentalizing Theory and Treatment, published by Springer Nature, 2020. He is an accomplished academic with over 200 peer-reviewed publications and keynote presentations across a range of academic settings.
He is also author of Hellthread: Collected Poems. It is his first poetry collection. It's worth noting that Owen is a Satire Enthusiast and writes a not-entirely-sincere-allways newsletter about healthcare. Academic writing is serious; other works are in the spirit of humor and commentary on the absurd. All poetry and related content is written by a human but is not certified high art.
