Greetings from the heartland of Ohio! I'm Gregg Stephens, and my journey through life has been as diverse as the seasons in the Buckeye State. From the academic halls of Akron University to the vast landscapes of Ohio State University, my educational journey led me to major in Biology, a field that has fueled my curiosity about the intricate dance of life.

However, my life took an unexpected turn during the tumultuous Vietnam years when I answered the call to serve in the US Army. With grit and determination, I became a proud member of the Special Forces within the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division. These experiences forged my character and instilled in me values that would shape the rest of my life.

Beyond the rigors of military life, I immersed myself in the discipline of Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido, dedicating four decades to mastering these Korean martial arts. This commitment culminated in the achievement of a 7th-degree black belt, a testament to the perseverance instilled by both military and martial arts experiences.

As life unfolded, my passion for nature and growth found a harmonious intersection with gardening. From the fertile soil of Ohio, I delved into the world of aquaculture and, eventually, pioneered the fusion of both into the fascinating realm of aquaponics. It became my canvas for creativity, an advanced gardening practice where I continually push boundaries, always seeking new horizons in the world of sustainable cultivation.

My writing journey is an extension of my diverse life experiences, a tapestry woven with threads of discipline, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of life.
