Rebekah Thiessen

I first became intrigued with writing when I was in the fifth grade. I would spend hours at our local library reading, volunteering and enjoying the hands on activities that were provided.

Now, twenty five years later, I have five children of my own. They became my inspiration. I also enjoy helping my students follow their interests and creative pursuits through our local homeschool co op.

I tend to write in a poetic format. My intent is to not give every possible detail in a story. I want to give room for imagination and curiosity.

I have many times of mandatory rest due to ongoing health problems from a pituitary tumor and traumatic brain surgery which has caused ongoing trauma. I am in pursuit of finding the beauty in the everyday and joy for mourning.

My desire is to reflect God's creation through my illustrations. He is the Master Artist. It has been a difficult journey, but I know that God meant it for good.
