I am Juan Alonso Molina, a Venezuelan historian, cook, restaurant consultant, gastronomic chronicler, editor and cultural promoter, born in Barquisimeto (Lara State) in 1960, and where i currently live. For my research work and dissemination of regional gastronomy from Lara, I received two honorable mentions of the Tenedor de Oro Award that is awarded annually by the Venezuelan Academy of Gastronomy (AVG), in 2014 and 2022, the last of which as the best gastronomic publication for my book "A bite of the world". I started publishing books on Amazon to make my work known to a wider audience, which already has a dozen books in the fields of history, cooking, gastronomy and culture. I have also developed a work of narrative fiction and poetry that I will progressively share with my readers. I consider my publications a reading of special interest and attraction for the many Venezuelans who today live outside their native country and yearn to maintain a root link with their culture.
