Jennifer Jarnagan Riem has dedicated her life to fostering a love for nature, exploration, and learning in young minds. Raised in the small town of Winslow, Arkansas, she developed a deep passion for both storytelling and the natural world from an early age, shaped by the rich landscape of woods and streams around her. This passion continued to guide her throughout her career as both an educator and author.
For over two decades, Jennifer taught elementary and middle school students in northeastern Oklahoma, where she also coached cross-country and sponsored the yearbook club. These experiences refined her communication and creative skills, while also deepening her appreciation for the importance of connecting children with the environment.
Inspired by family trips to National Parks, Jennifer created the beloved children's book series, The Adventures of Twilla & Rye. The series follows two tree sprites on their journeys through various National Parks, blending narrative storytelling with educational elements. Personal photographs and characters originally imagined with her daughter add a personal touch to each story, which aims to inspire young readers to explore and appreciate nature.
With the unwavering support of her family and friends, Jennifer now brings Twilla and Rye to classrooms, helping children discover the beauty and wonder of America's National Parks. For her, the greatest adventure is seeing children's faces light up as they fall in love with her stories and the natural world. What began as a new career has blossomed into the realization of her lifelong dream.
Jennifer Jarnagan Riem's books are not just stories; they are gateways to adventure, wonder, and endless learning possibilities, making her an inspiring figure in her community and beyond.

A great story, easy to follow, creative, educational, and entertaining. The adventures of the characters demonstrate valuable life lessons. It’s a fun read that promotes setting goals and working to accomplish them. Love the instructions at the end of the story for readers to make their own version of what the characters create. Have fun with it, I know I did.
