Hiller A. Spires

Dr. Hiller A. Spires is an American educator and executive director and professor emerita at North Carolina State University. She is a national and international scholar in literacy education. Her research addresses digital and disciplinary literacies , and project-based inquiry (PBI) global with diverse learners. She was the founding director (2002) for the William and Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation at NC State University and co-creator (2014) of Suzhou North America High School in Suzhou, China, where she currently serves as honorary principal.
