I grew up reading books that explored possibilities. Science fiction and fantasy stories were the perfect vehicle to that. The classic stories took the reader on epic adventures into the impossible. They challenged our ideas and ideals. They made us ask why not? Other stories were simpler and introduced us to places we enjoyed spending time in. Connecting all the stories that are worth remembering are the characters that lived those adventures.

That’s what’s enjoyable about writing. Those interesting characters who live in places where what’s impossible in our lives is commonplace. Some stories will be grand epics and others will be simpler. I hope that all the stories I write will have the memorable characters like those that drew me into reading.
