Dr John Sloan

John Sloan was born in Scotland. He received his doctorate from the University of Oxford, and was C.U.F. lecturer in the Faculty of English and Fellow and Tutor in English at Harris Manchester College, Oxford, where he is now an Emeritus Fellow. He has written extensively on late-Victorian and early 20th century authors and literary culture and ideas. He is an editorial board member of The Wildean: A Journal of the Oscar Wilde Society and of The Gissing Journal.
