George Barnett

GEORGE BARNETT is a self-directed student and educator of botany, ecology, agroforestry, and natural history. He’s an avid reader, writer, conservationist, forager, angler, and backpacker. In 2020, he founded The Hungry Forager and in 2024, he published FORAGING KENTUCKY. George is originally from and currently lives in Louisville, KY with his wife and their three sons.
