Simeon Weedall Biography
Simeon studied at London Studio Centre and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Jazz Theatre Dance winning the prestigious Tap Award. His performance career includes Chicago International Tour & West End, Dorrance Dance New York and co-creator of About Time tap company London. He worked as a tap soloist for Coca-Cola and various musicians including Paul Booth, Davide Mantovani, Alex Wilson and Liam O'Conner. He soloed for the Jiving Lindy Hoppers, Will Gaines 80th Birthday Celebration, Tap World and has formed multiple collaborations with tap dancers across the globe. He hosted the London Tap Jam at Ronnie Scott's and collaborated with Lee Payne and Theseus Gerard to create Percussive Feet. Simeon joined STOMP London in 2007 and after a world tour and three U.S tours he then resided in the New York cast and totalled 16yrs in the show.
Simeon gives tap lectures and performances for the Tap Dance Research Network, he was the drummer for Paradise Rocks and plays percussion for various dance classes. More recently he created a short self-filmed percussion movie for YouTube entitled One Man, Many Rhythms. Simeon wrote Solo's That Speak - A Tap Dancer's Guide to Authentic Expression and Tap Dance - The Complete Beginners Guide. His tap, drumming and body percussion classes expand across every major dance school in the UK, USA and continue to inspire the next generation of tap dancers worldwide through his online school - wellmadenoise. His online classes have reached over 50 different countries spanning across 18 different languages. He continues to work tirelessly for STOMP as well as performing, teaching and training people to be in show business. In his spare time, he practises Muay Thai and contributes to raising money for multiple charities through his tap solos.
