Dr. Kasandra Scott-Salazar

Dr. Kasandra Scott-Salazar grew up in the Cayman Islands. From a young age, she loved to draw, paint, and write stories. It is her aspiration to inspire young readers to join her in the world of writing. It is her desire that she can educate the world on the essence of Caymanian culture through stories tied to their heritage. Dr. Scott-Salazar has earned three professional degrees, a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (University of Tampa '10), a Master of Science in Teacher Leadership (Walden University '16), and a Doctor of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (Walden University '21). She loves writing stories, watercolor painting, playing musical instruments, but most importantly spending time with her parents, close cousins, two children, and her husband. It is her desire that she can inspire people to spread the power of imagination through writing and painting pictures.
