I was born and raised in Southern California, I have traveled throughout the USA and abroad and lived in a number of different states in the US. As a single mom raising two children on my own, I discovered how important reading and coloring was for my children. I would read story books to my children at bedtime every night. As they grew older, I would make up stories and sometimes have drawings to go along the stories I made up. I always thought it would be fun to write children’s books.

In 2014 I wrote my first children’s book as a gift for my granddaughter. In 2020 I had the story published under the title Bentley Learns to Share. In 2023 I decided to re-write the story and re-draw all the images, I re-launched the book under the title Bentley Shares His Toys. This story shows the importance of sharing with others. I then wrote and illustrated my second book called A Day at the Lake, this story is about accepting each other even though we have differences. My third book, The Roverton Bullies is my favorite so far. I wrote the book due to the amount of bullying that has increased over the years between children and teens. I think it is very important for children to understand the harm bullying can cause others, and feel my story will help children to see that bullying is not a way to treat others. I have also created a number of activity and coloring books. I believe it’s very important for children to use their minds and imagination.

I’m not a professional book writer or artist, but I have taken a few English and writing courses in college. I’m a freelance writer and illustrator without an agent. I’m a medical coder by trade, but my passion is writing and illustrating children’s books.
