Daniel Selby, a California native, now living in Vermont as of 2022, has spent the last 4 years writing 7 discography books about musical icons. Three of his previous six books have been nominated for an ARSC Award. The ARSC is the Association for Recorded Sound Collections Awards for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research. Founded in 1966 the goal of the ARSC Awards program is to recognize and draw attention to the finest work now being published in the field of recorded sound research.
Other interests include currently (2024) writing a Christmas themed TV film script with a veteran Hollywood director and taking flying lessons with Vermont Flight Academy in Burlington to pilot small Cessna planes. In his younger years Daniel was an actor and did theater, print, TV and film. The profile photo here is from his first leading musical theater role in Oliver! (as Oliver) in 1974.
