When pondering what I want to do with the second half of my life, I fell back on the things that truly make me happy. I love to write, I love the weather, I love to create, I love to cook, I love my family, and I love animals. I'm obsessed with true crime, mysteries, plot twists, and solving puzzles. Then, there was Simon. Simon was my panting, drooling best friend, and the giant 110-pound furry love of my life. Simon was a Bernese Mountain Dog. He was smart, aloof, protective, cuddly, and definitely thought he was just a small lap dog. He did NOT fit on my lap! Combining some of my loves led me to create Simon and Simone: Doggie Detectives. I can write, which I thoroughly enjoy, and I can write fun mysteries! A dream come true. Growing up at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado was a natural setting for the Simon and Simone book series. My husband and I have two adult children of our own, and I don't think we, nor they, will ever forget reading our favorite stories together when they were young. To be a part of other family's favorite books would be a cherished gift, and one I will never take for granted.
