Somewhere inside of me there is a deep-rooted infatuation with exploring the unknown. To be a true explorer, I suppose I was born a few hundred years too late, but I would still like to have my fun. I took on the Hoosier National Forest as my pet project, initiating a goal to explore all of its geologic wonders. Pursuing better results, I started analyzing maps, researching online, and purchasing books. I was surprised to find that there wasn’t much information available with regard to my quest, but I did encounter some leads that got me pointed in the right direction. As my project progressed, I learned to produce my own maps, which I used to navigate the forest and document my finds. The result of that work now resides within the content of this book.
