Murielle Gingras was born in Nova Scotia but raised in Ontario after the age of 7. Raised by a military father and a stay-at-home mother, Murielle's upbringing was filled with love and support to nurture her writing. She learned to read and write at a young age, using this to transfer her skills of verbal storytelling to another medium.
Expressing an interest to write, Murielle began by developing a comic book to transfer her stories from verbal to written. From there, she began writing stories of faeries, witches, vampires, and other supernatural beings. Writing became an integral part of Murielle's life from that point on.
Murielle pursued a certificate as a Personal Support Worker at Georgian College to begin working with elderly residents in a long-term care setting, focusing on palliative care.
Later, Murielle would attend York University for a Bachelor's in English & Creative Writing.
Murielle began writing on the ebook app, Wattpad, with her debut series, The Deerborn Series. She won The Watty's in 2014 for Interactive Storytelling. She also participated as a Community Ambassador for 3 years.
In 2022, Murielle won 2nd place in Inkitt's Turn Off The Lights contest for The Deerborn Series, later published by Inkitt's sister company, Galatea.
Murielle self-published her first paperback in October 2023 for her book, Minute Taker.
Currently, Murielle works as a Direct Service Worker and aids people with disabilities in their daily life. She lives in a small-town in rural Ontario with her pets and enjoys a quiet lifestyle.
