Rahul Dodhia

Rahul Dodhia heads the team of research scientists at the AI for Good Research Lab at Microsoft, based in Redmond, Washington. His team of AI researchers is dedicated to addressing global challenges using artificial intelligence. His work focuses on sustainability, humanitarian action, and health issues, paying special attention to climate adaptation in the Global South. Prior to his current role, he led machine learning teams at several corporations, including eBay, Amazon, and Expedia. He also served at the NASA Ames Research Center, where he applied foundational research on human memory to address safety concerns in general aviation and space flight. He is an alumnus of Columbia University (Ph.D. in Psychology) and Brandeis University (B.A.in Mathematics). He lives in Seattle with his wife and daughter, and clears his mind by herding sheep with border collies.
