Dr Jake Willson

Dr Jake Willson is a guitarist and composer working in London. His career as a musician spans a variety of disciplines; as well as being a solo artist, arranger and improvising clinician, he is a busy performer, working on several West End shows (including Hamilton and The Book Of Mormon). Jake holds a PhD in classical composition from Surrey University, and has produced a wealth of instructional material for JTC, helping guitarists around the world to play better guitar. He is a co-host of The Guitar Hour podcast, a discussion show with a focus on how to improve on the instrument and making sense of theory. His debut album, A Piece of The Action, was released in 2020 to critical acclaim.
