Meet Jane Dominguez Jane Dominguez, our passionate music educator, composer and multi-instrumentalist grew up in a musical family with both parents as music teachers. She spent her childhood listening to the songs her parents' students played, noticing the common pitfalls beginners face. Jane understands that starting to learn an instrument can be both exciting and challenging. Writing music books allowed her to tackle these challenges and design the teaching materials she always dreamed of. Her goal is to help music students of all ages sound good from the beginning and stay engaged. Her books are regularly updated, combining classical methods with modern learning strategies, providing clear instructions, visual aid and practical exercises, perfect for both teacher-guided and self-learning. With over 30 years of expertise, Jane has studied classical and modern music, production, songwriting, and music technology at Berklee College of Music and New York University. She is also recognized by institutions like the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College of London. One of Jane's most memorable students was an 80-year-old lady with Alzheimer's. Despite forgetting her homework every week, she could recall childhood songs with remarkable precision. This profound experience highlighted for Jane just how deeply music is embedded in our memories and life. As a mother of two young musicians with short attention spans, Jane writes her books with young learners in mind, ensuring that every piece of content resonates with beginners of all ages, whether you are 4 or 80 years old.
