Mark Wish is the author of the novels NECESSARY DEEDS (Regal House 2024), WATCH ME GO (Putnam 2015), SHOW UP, LOOK GOOD (Gival 2011), and CONFESSIONS OF A POLISH USED CAR SALESMAN (HiJinx 1997), receiving praise for them from the LOS ANGELES TIMES, THE WASHINGTON POST, THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE, Salman Rushdie, Rebecca Makkai, Ben Fountain, Delia Ephron, Daniel Woodrell, Anne Serling, and many others. More than 125 of Mark's short stories have appeared in print venues such as BEST AMERICAN SHORT STORIES 2008, NEW ENGLAND REVIEW, TRIQUARTERLY, THE SUN, VIRGINIA QUARTERLY REVIEW, THE GEORGIA REVIEW, THE SOUTHERN REVIEW, THE MISSOURI REVIEW, ANTIOCH REVIEW, and THE YALE REVIEW, and one won a Pushcart Prize. Years ago he wrote poetry for fun, and the first poem he submitted for publication was accepted by POETRY.
