Anique van der Putten is an organizational and performance psychologist specializing in mentalization. Mentalization is the ability to explain and predict human behavior based on an understanding of what is going on in the minds of others. The author is a founding member of the Center for Applied Theory of Mind, an organization that extends mentalization, and its constituent competencies, beyond the clinical field to the general public.
