Georgia Vine (she/her) is a disabled occupational therapist who qualified in 2021. As a disabled woman she offers the value of her lived experience, highlighting some of the many systemic inequities within the profession. Georgia, currently works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in academia and enjoys being able to challenge ableism in occupational therapy through her work. She is the founder of the number 1 occupational therapy blog in the UK, Not So Terrible Palsy where she critically analyses her experiences through the perspective of a disabled activist and occupational therapist. Georgia, is also co-founder of AbleOTUK a group that provides support for occupational therapists and students with disabilities and long-term health conditions. She enjoys this role and challenging the professions ableist inequalities to better the profession and improve the access for future disabled occupational therapists as well as those we serve.
