Children's books have a permanent home in her heart with their ability to simplify complex issues to educate and comfort readers of all ages and she loves writing books that spark a life-long love of reading. In addition to writing, Jackie is the creator of educational programs including the nationally recognized P.A.S.S. Jackie's chapter titled Talk With Me, guides librarians on techniques to better serve patrons who rely on Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices and introduces the P.A.S.S. Approach. The chapter received national recognition and was featured in Library Magazine. Jackie was invited by the American Library Association to present my chapter at their annual conference in January 2023. Jackie lives on a ranch in North Texas with her husband where they raise a mess of kids, cattle, horses, chickens, and dogs.
