Karen Sund

Karen Sund, originally from Toluca Lake and currently residing in Burbank, California, has had a truly remarkable life journey. She grew up in the fast-paced, glamorous, celebrity-studded world of the legendary Don the Beachcomber restaurants. At the age of twenty-four, she inherited the Beachcomber’s Chicago location when her mother, innovative and feisty entrepreneur, Sunny Sund, died. Karen’s life path has been significantly shaped by her upbringing and by her profound connection to the majestic world of horses. Her spirit is one of resilience and she has no plans to slow down.
