Welcome! I'm an Associate Professor in Petrology and Volcanology at the Department of Physics and Geology, University of Perugia (UNIPG). My research primarily focuses on the petrological characterization of volcanoes, emphasizing the dynamics and time scales of pre-eruptive events. In pursuing this, I blend classical methods with innovative techniques. I am the author of over a hundred scientific publications and two books published by Springer Nature: "Introduction to Python in Earth Science Data Analysis (2021)" and "Machine Learning for Earth Sciences (2023)", which explore the intersection of Earth science, data analysis, and Machine Learning.
