Marc Schölermann began his career as a director at the age of 13 with his own Super 8 films, which he shot in the basement of his family home. After school, he embarked on a career in film production and worked his way up from location manager to assistant director on various national and international feature films, including the James Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies”. However, as he always aspired to a career as a director, he enrolled at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy and subsequently began directing commercials and music videos. Over the past two decades Marc has directed numerous commercials for clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Audi, BMW, Toyota, Ferrero, Mazda, Volkswagen, Unilever, Acura, Opel, Nissan, Skoda, Chevy, Buick for clients and agencies worldwide. He sent Robbie Williams across the Alps as James Bond for Cafe Royal, made Chuck Norris brew beer and made Dieter Zetsche drive a BMW. Marc Schölermann's commercials have received numerous national and international awards and nominations, including the Clio, Cannes Lions, OneShow Pencil, Cresta Award, New York Festivals, Red Dot Award and Art Directors Club. In 2015, he also received the Best Cinematography Award for photographing his own Audi spot “Speed Wheels” at the German Advertising Film Awards. In 2008, he shot his first feature film, the MGM/Lakeshore thriller “Pathology”, written by Neveldine/Taylor, starring Milo Ventimiglia, Alyssa Milano, Michael Weston and Lauren Lee Smith. In 2025, his second feature film “Bark”, a dark thriller starring Michael Weston (Pathology) and A.J.Buckley (SEAL Team), will be released theatrically in the US.
